Reading Volunteers
“To learn to read is to light a fire; every syllable that is spelled out is a spark.” You can make a difference in the life of a child! Come down and work with our children this summer by volunteering with our reading program. Spend time one-on-one with a child or work in a small group—the curriculum is provided, so you do not have to prepare anything ahead of time. Just bring your love for reading along with you to encourage and inspire our kids! Studies show that children with strong reading skills and a love of books are more likely to be successful in school. You can help!
